Sulzer’s Leeds site is a leading Advanced Pump Design and Manufacturing Facility. We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function and drive world-class supply chain performance on high-value engineered pump packages.

Qualifications

• Proven procurement leadership experience within manufacturing/engineering.
• Experience managing procurement teams.
• Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience procuring engineered components and manufacturing commodities.
• MRP/ERP understanding and procurement process knowledge.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels.
• CIPS qualification, or working towards, would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of direct reports.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Manage supplier selection, negotiation and contract management activities.
• Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers and drive cost reduction.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and supply chain optimisation.
• Support complex project procurement for large engineered-to-order pump packages.
• Monitor supplier performance via KPI management and supplier development programmes.
• Collaborate with global procurement teams to leverage group purchasing power.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
