Job description

Job title: Senior Procurement Engineer - Tornado Business Partner (Performance)

Location: Samlesbury - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £47,683+ (depending on skills and experience)

What you'll be doing:

  • To interface effectively with Customer facing and Supplier facing Teams
  • Supporting the Project through discharging and managing Procurement requirements & responsibilities
  • Representing the Procurement Function with Customer interactions and being the interface into the Supplier facing Teams
  • Analyse and provide Monthly Reports on Procurement Performance to support Delivery Director Reviews
  • Be responsible for approving and /or challenging Supplier Quotations to ensure value for money for the Customer

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Professional knowledge and understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain Management principles and practices including an understanding of the impact and implications of decisions made to stakeholders and suppliers
  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain orderbook management including raising Purchase Orders and managing them through to successful delivery
  • A proven ability to collaborate, fostering close & trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders, enhanced by excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office EXCEL
  • Ability to compile data, analyse and propose recommendations through reports and presentations

Desirable:

  • MCIPS (or working towards) or a similar qualification would be welcomed
  • Demonstrative working understanding of tool sets and IT such as ERP systems and Tableau dashboarding

The Tornado Business Partner (Performance) Team:

Be part of a close-knit team of five, managing performance activities across our Tornado customer platforms. The role also includes overseas travel to customer locations approximately every six months, providing valuable international exposure and collaboration experience.
