Ready to take the lead on a procurement function that's entering an exciting new chapter?
We're hiring for a Senior Procurement Director to head up a high-profile private sector function - someone who can set the direction, lead with confidence, and bring fresh thinking to how strategic sourcing delivers value across both healthcare and wider industries.

This is a key leadership role with the chance to shape commercial strategy, lead negotiations across critical categories (think indirects, capex, medical / surgical etc), and develop a high-performing team - all while navigating a unique blend of private sector pace and public sector complexity.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Setting category strategy: From operational essentials to clinical supplies, you'll develop sourcing plans that balance value, compliance, and innovation.
• Engaging with stakeholders: You'll work closely with clinical and commercial teams - from department leads to C-suite, aligning procurement activity with business needs.
• Negotiating large-scale agreements: You'll take the lead on national-level deals and supplier partnerships, driving best-in-class commercial terms.
• Leading a skilled team: You'll develop talent, coach performance, and shape a procurement culture that delivers results and builds lasting supplier relationships.
• Spotting risk and opportunities: Whether it's contract strategy, market shifts, or regulatory change, you'll have the commercial vision to stay ahead and act with confidence.
• Driving cross-functional projects: You'll collaborate across teams (and sometimes countries), with a seat at the table to help shape broader business decisions.

What we're looking for:

• A commercially focused procurement leader with experience managing high-value spend
• Strong private sector experience, ideally with exposure to public procurement or regulated environments
• A confident, credible communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change
• Experience across multiple procurement categories, especially indirects and healthcare-related spend
• Someone who can think strategically but is still hands-on when needed

Based in London with 2 days a week on-site (plus occasional travel to other UK locations)
