Our Contract Services team has over 140 employees located in our offices or seconded within client teams across the UK. We deliver services to a range of public and private sector clients with a focus in central and local government, defence, transport, power and utilities.

Job Description

Due to increased workload and securing of new clients across the Public and Private sectors, we have new opportunities for Senior Procurement Consultants to join our growing Contract Services team in our UK offices.

The Contract Services team includes specialists in procurement and contract strategy, claims management and dispute resolution services.

We are the first consultancy to be recognized by the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) for excellence in procurement processes for clients in the construction sector. Our team received a Procurement Excellence Programme Award demonstrating excellence in procurement and supply chain activities.

The Opportunity:

The individual will work with our highly skilled team delivering strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services for major projects and programs. This role will be part of our expanding Contract Services team and will play a significant role in our growth, especially in areas like Sustainable Procurement, Transformation, Renewables, Digital Procurement, and Net Zero Strategies.

  • Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to Public and Private sector clients.
  • Manage and collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services for major projects or programs.
  • Support the development of procurement services offered by T&T.
  • Assist in business development and marketing of the Contract Services team’s offerings.
  • Contribute to team and company targets.
  • Support bid preparation and proposal development to enhance work-winning capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading/supporting projects in strategic procurement.
  • Strong background in tender preparation and document development.
  • Experience in supplier engagement activities, from market engagement to contract award.
  • Knowledge of Public/Utilities Contract Regulations or similar.
  • Experience with standard contracts like NEC and JCT, including negotiation and award.
  • Working towards or achieved MCIPS accreditation.
  • Degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement preferred.
  • Experience in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure sectors preferred.
  • Valid or reinstatable Security Clearance (SC).

Skills:

  • Ability to develop procurement strategies within projects or programs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Understanding of commercial principles and modeling.
  • Experience delivering strategies and documentation in capital projects or programs.
