Job summary

Gatwick Airport Limited in London Gatwick is hiring a Senior Procurement Category Manager – IT to shape technology procurement and drive value across IT & Cyber. In a hybrid role, you will lead IT category strategies and complex procurements while advising stakeholders across Technology, Cyber and Digital.

The role offers a competitive package, a discretionary bonus, and flexible benefits, with three days in the office and two remote days per week.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in Business, IT, Supply Chain, or related field.
• CIPS qualification or working towards.
• Significant IT/Cyber procurement experience.
• Experience with SaaS, cloud, licensing and cyber solutions.
• Proven track record in complex technology procurements and negotiations.
• Experience managing supplier performance and contracts.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking; able to influence stakeholders.
• Experience driving change in complex organisations.

• Lead end-to-end procurement across IT and Cyber categories.
• Provide expert commercial support to Technology, Cyber, Digital and stakeholders.
• Manage lifecycle of technology procurement including market engagement, sourcing, negotiation and mobilisation.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts aligned with risk and compliance.
• Lead supplier relationship management to drive performance and innovation.
• Ensure procurement activity adheres to governance and financial controls.
• Proactively manage risk across IT & Cyber categories.

This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business.

What is the role?

The Senior Category Manager – IT & Cyber will shape technology procurement across the airport, developing strategies that support operational excellence, drive value, and ensure robust supplier performance.

Working closely with stakeholders across Technology, Cyber, and Digital, the role acts as a trusted commercial advisor, supporting Gatwick's transformation and long-term technology roadmap.

What will you do?

• Develop and own IT & Cyber category strategies aligned to Gatwick's business and technology objectives.

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities across complex, high-value IT and Cyber categories.

• Provide expert commercial support to Technology, Cyber, Digital, and wider business stakeholders.

• Manage the full lifecycle of technology procurement including market engagement, sourcing, negotiation, and mobilisation.

• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts ensuring alignment with risk, compliance, and operational needs.

• Lead supplier relationship management, driving performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure procurement activity adheres to Gatwick governance, policies, and financial controls.

• Proactively manage commercial, operational, cyber, and supply-chain risk across IT & Cyber categories.

Do you have what we're looking for?

• Degree-level education in Business, IT, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• CIPS qualified or working towards, or equivalent professional procurement experience.

• Significant experience in IT and/or Cyber procurement within large or complex organisations.

• Strong understanding of commercial models including SaaS, cloud, managed services, licensing, and cyber solutions.

• Proven track record delivering complex technology procurements and leading commercial negotiations.

• Experience managing supplier performance, contracts, and service delivery frameworks.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders.

• Experience driving change within complex or decentralised organisations.
