Job summary

Refresco Gerber UK Limited in Bridgwater, Somerset seeks a Process & Utilities Engineering Manager to lead the site’s Process and Utilities Engineering functions, delivering safe, compliant, reliable and cost-effective plant and utility services.

You will provide leadership to the engineering teams, own maintenance and reliability strategies, ensure statutory compliance, and drive continuous improvement to enhance asset health, product quality and sustainability across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in FMCG or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of process plant engineering and hygienic design principles.
• Degree or equivalent in mechanical/electrical/process/chemical engineering.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and maintenance strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Process and Utilities Engineering teams, creating a high-performing engineering culture.
• Own maintenance and reliability strategies for process plant and utility assets.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and company standards (PSSR, PUWER, LOLER, DSEAR, Legionella).
• Manage engineering priorities, interventions, contractor performance and resources.
• Drive asset reliability improvements via planned and preventive maintenance.
