Job Description:

Thermal Process Specialist

Campden BRI offers professional support to ensure your thermal processes consistently produce safe products. With over 100 years of experience, we are leaders in food and drink thermal and non-thermal processing, working with some of the world's largest companies.

You will specialize in thermal processing and lead business development and project delivery in related technical areas such as validation, consultancy, and training.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and managing projects in thermal processing (food and beverage), including validation trials and consultancy at client sites, in our facilities, or using our pilot plant. Regular UK and international travel is expected.
• Managing thermal measurement equipment, including strategic investments, maintenance, and overall management.
• Designing, coordinating, and delivering thermal processing training courses and presentations at Campden BRI and on client sites.
• Business development activities, including liaising with sales and marketing, client visits, and preparing proposals.
• Supporting research activities and contributing to seminars and events.
• Responding to technical enquiries and providing processing advice.

Required experience:

• Degree or equivalent in engineering, food technology, or related sciences.
• Understanding of heat processing in the food industry.
• Experience in food production settings, with knowledge of thermal food processes (e.g., retort, UHT aseptic filling) being advantageous.
• Business development skills with potential for growth.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Effective time and financial management skills.
• Full UK/EU driving license and eligibility to work in the UK. Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Flexibility to visit client sites and work at Chipping Campden as needed.
