Talentmark is recruiting a Senior Process & Production Engineer for a chemical manufacturing site in Stoke-on-Trent. You will establish and lead the Engineering Department, overseeing a small team and driving production efficiency.

The role focuses on improving existing processes, scaling up new products with R&D, and advancing digitalisation in production and warehousing. A chemical engineering degree and ATEX knowledge are preferred, with strong leadership experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in engineering, ideally Chemical Engineering.
• Strong chemical knowledge and understanding in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in leading a team in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of ATEX procedures and safety considerations.

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: Approximately £60,000, depending on experience

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and develop the Engineering Department.
• Lead and supervise a team of 3-4 engineers.
• Drive the digitalisation of production and warehousing.
• Analyse and improve existing production processes.
• Support the introduction and scale-up of new products alongside R&D.
• Implement new technologies and develop engineering solutions to plant challenges.

Your Background

• Degree in Engineering, ideally Chemical Engineering.
• Strong chemical knowledge and understanding.
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Previous team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of ATEX procedures.
• Ideally located within 25 miles of Stoke-on-Trent.
