Job summary

Assala Energy is seeking a Senior Project Engineering Consultant with deep Process Engineering expertise to lead and deliver major project outcomes from our London headquarters, with periodic travel to Gabon as required. This project-based consultancy will provide independent technical leadership across FEED and detailed engineering stages.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering degree in Process Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of project-based experience within Process, Petrochemicals and/or Oil & Gas sectors.
• Ability to independently develop brownfield and greenfield designs across FEED and detailed engineering phases.

Responsibilities

• Provide project-based engineering leadership for major oil and gas projects.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs and ensure alignment with technical, commercial and schedule objectives.
• Review and accept process engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with international codes.
• Develop Basis of Design, project philosophies, and technical specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates, execution strategies and project plans with clear risks and contingencies.
• Advise on resource planning and vendor selection to meet delivery timelines.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget and quality; identify risks early and propose mitigations.
• Support procurement decisions and governance through engineering input.
