Staff Senior Process Engineer

Job Description:

Deliver and coordinate complex process engineering designs within proposals, studies, projects, and operations, ensuring compliance with standards, schedules, and budgets, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Job scope (activities and management):

  • Analyze project specifications and requirements.
  • Evaluate technologies and perform economic assessments.
  • Conduct process configuration and optimization studies.
  • Develop design parameters and methodologies.
  • Prepare safe, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Create design basis and philosophy documents.
  • Perform process modeling and simulations.
  • Develop PFDs, heat and material balances, and P&ID's.
  • Select equipment and design utilities and chemical consumption summaries.
  • Support project activities from engineering to start-up.
  • Participate in safety and operability reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID, SIL).
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and document knowledge for projects and operations.
  • Design relief systems including PSV sizing and flare analysis.

Qualifications and skills:

  • BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering with experience in Gas/Liquids Cracking Technology.
  • Understanding of process design methods and tools.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas Processing, Refining, or Petrochemicals, preferably with an engineering contractor.
  • Leadership experience managing 3-5 process engineers.
  • Knowledge of Ethylene, Petrochemicals, Refining, Offsites & Utilities.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (API, ASTM, ASME).

Technical skills:

  • Process simulation tools: Hysys, PRO/II, PROMAX, Flarenet, Flaresim.
