Are you interested in launching the next generation of Amazon Sort Centers (SCs) in Europe? Do you want to be part of Amazon's growth and expansion? The Middle Mile Engineering Programs team seeks an experienced Yard Operator or Yard Program Manager to support the expansion of Sort Centers across Europe. This role involves end-to-end delivery of new SC launches or optimizations, driving improvements to meet network capacity goals.
The Yard Program Manager will work with Site Leads, Operations Managers, Project Managers, Process SMEs, Design Engineers, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about Yard operations, structured, confident, and able to build credibility with diverse teams. The role involves up to 50% travel across Europe, including Germany (Berlin), UK (London), Italy (Milan), Spain (Madrid or Barcelona), and France (Paris).
Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize building designs, processes, and safety standards, ensuring operational excellence and frugal solutions for future expansions.
The Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team plays a vital role in Amazon’s success, ensuring efficient transport using various modes and innovative technology. The team prioritizes safety, sustainability, and data-driven decisions.
Master’s degree in Engineering or related field, 2-5 years of experience in Operations, and language skills in French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, or Zulu are preferred but not required.
