The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to join a pioneering, research-led organisation at the forefront of carbon reduction technologies. This innovative company is developing breakthrough solutions aimed at decarbonising industrial materials — backed by global manufacturing leaders, academic partners, and major research institutions.
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a key role in scaling up novel technologies from the laboratory to pilot and production scale. If you’re passionate about climate change, materials innovation, and hands-on process engineering, this role offers a rare chance to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and optimise lab- and pilot-scale experimental systems for novel CO₂ utilisation processes.
Lead process development activities supporting scale-up from concept through to commissioning.
Analyse test data, identify process bottlenecks, and implement technical improvements.
Collaborate closely with chemists, materials scientists, and cross-functional teams.
Support preparation of technical proposals for grant funding (e.g. Innovate UK, Horizon Europe).
Document experimental procedures, analyse results, and contribute to technical reports and publications.

Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary R&D environments.
Proactive, hands-on mindset with a passion for technology that delivers real-world climate benefits.
Desirable Skills
Experience in CO₂ capture, utilisation, or carbon reduction technologies.
Familiarity with cement, concrete, or construction-related industrial processes.
Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, pilot plant operation, or process simulation tools.
Experience contributing to sustainability-focused innovation or publicly funded research projects.
