Role Overview

The role will be based in Monmouth, where you will be the technical team lead responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing wastewater treatment processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective treatment of water across various sectors including municipal, industrial, and environmental protection from major infrastructure and construction projects.

You will report directly to the Technical Solutions Manager as part of the company's Techno-Commercial team. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing wastewater treatment processes based on company products, project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Performing detailed process designs and simulations to optimize wastewater treatment solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess project feasibility and optimize solutions.
  • Supporting laboratory experiments and pilot studies to evaluate treatment methods, troubleshoot operational issues, and validate solutions.
  • Assisting in the design, delivery, and commissioning of solutions, including producing standard deliverables such as P&IDs, drawings, control philosophies, and HAZOPs.
  • Implementing new technologies, processes, and product partnerships to ensure optimal solutions and closing opportunities.
  • Identifying and evaluating R&D opportunities to improve solutions across products and sectors.
  • Representing the company in meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Providing technical training and mentoring internally and externally for clients and projects.
About you

We seek candidates passionate about making a difference in the water-environmental sector, with a practical and positive outlook. Experience in the water industry is preferable, with knowledge of wastewater treatment, engineering delivery processes, and detailed process design. Your enthusiasm and responsiveness to wastewater treatment solutions are what matter most.

Qualifications & Experience
  • An engineering degree, ideally in Process, Chemical, Wastewater, or related fields.
  • Chartered or incorporated engineer status and membership of a professional institution.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and data interpretation skills, with the ability to identify project and client needs.
  • Proven experience in water process engineering.
  • Expertise in wastewater treatment technologies and detailed process design.
  • Knowledge of process standards, design requirements, and project delivery processes.
  • Optimization, troubleshooting, risk management, and mitigation skills.
  • Municipal water industry experience is desirable.
  • Full UK driving license.
