Job description

EFAB Industrial Solutions, a leading Engineering Construction business based in Immingham, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their successful team.

The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for delivering technical solutions across various projects and technical areas, guiding and reviewing the work of junior engineers to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and compliant delivery according to all relevant engineering and company procedures.

This role requires proactive identification of optimal technical solutions for each project, along with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The engineer should stay updated on current practices and innovations, bringing new technologies, legislative changes, or relevant advancements to the company's attention. The role also involves supporting the development of company policies and procedures and exploring new tools or processes to improve technical delivery.

The Senior Process Engineer must demonstrate comprehensive understanding and adherence to all relevant engineering standards, policies, and procedures, applying them practically in their work.

Accountabilities include:

1. Design of Pressure Relief Venting Systems
2. Preparation of Equipment and Line lists
3. Hydraulic and Pressure Drop Calculations, Mass and Energy Balances, Pump Sizing
4. Utility Balance and Consumption Analysis
5. Development of Process Datasheets, P&ID, and Process Flow Diagrams
6. Equipment Sizing and Process Modelling using tools like Aspen, HYSIS, Flarenet
7. Relief Valve and Bursting Disc Sizing and Specification
8. Steam and Condensate Systems, Control Valve Sizing, Restriction Orifice Sizing
9. Preparation of Technical Specifications for third-party design
10. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
11. Hazardous Area Classification and DSEAR compliance
12. Development of Process Control and Operating Philosophies
13. Design of Trip, Interlock, and Alarm Schedules
14. SIL Determination including Risk, Graph, and LOPA analyses
15. Preparation of Environmental Impact Statements and adherence to environmental legislation, management systems, and abatement technologies
16. Fire and Explosion Analysis, Fire Reports, and Design
17. Materials of Construction and Solids Handling
18. Leadership in Hazard & LOPA Studies
19. Design and commissioning of Combustion Processes

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency with electronic tools and software relevant to process engineering
• Understanding of legislation and standards, with practical application skills
• Familiarity with company policies, processes, and procedures
