Overview

Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

Location: Brighton (Hybrid working with occasional site visits)

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000, depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Process Engineer to join a well-established wastewater process engineering team. This role offers a chance to contribute to a variety of wastewater treatment projects and support site operations within a collaborative and technically driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Produce technical design deliverables, including process calculations, control philosophies, process flow diagrams, process and performance specifications, and P&IDs, as well as commissioning and compliance plans.
  • Lead the development of innovative process solutions that drive efficiency and deliver cost-effective outcomes.
  • Support site operations through performance optimisation, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and implementation of improvement measures across wastewater treatment plants.
  • Mentor junior process engineers and stay up to date with industry developments and innovations.
  • Utilise strong data analysis to evaluate asset performance and develop appropriate technical solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline (MEng/BEng/BSc).
  • Ideally a Chartered Member of a relevant professional institution.
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience within the UK water industry or a consultancy setting.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering wastewater treatment projects and providing operational support.
  • Skilled in technical report writing and confident in presenting engineering concepts.
