Job summary

Advance Training & Recruitment Services is seeking a Senior Process Commissioning Engineer to join the Avonmouth site on a major £200m capital project. You will lead commissioning activities for wastewater assets, coordinating with the project team and operations to ensure readiness and regulatory compliance.

The role requires extensive experience in large-scale process commissioning in the UK water sector, including anaerobic digestion knowledge and strong HSE leadership.

Qualifications

• Extensive multi-year experience in process commissioning on large projects.
• Experience in wastewater within the UK water sector.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commissioning plans for new wastewater assets.
• Develop and review PRAs and RAMS.
• Manage commissioning costs, resources and delivery schedules.
• Support outage planning and live operational integration activities.
• Coordinate interfaces between project teams, operations, contractors and suppliers.
• Verify commissioning readiness and site acceptance criteria.
• Lead pre-commissioning, dry testing and wet testing activities.
• Coordinate process start-up, optimisation and performance testing.
• Develop sampling and laboratory testing plans.
• Analyse commissioning data to support optimisation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and environmental permits.
• Lead environmental risk mitigation and health, safety leadership.
