Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Private Client Tax Senior to join its expanding Private Client Tax team in the United Kingdom. You will manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals and owner-managed businesses, providing compliant and advisory personal tax services.

The role offers exposure to advisory projects, tax planning and collaboration with colleagues across tax, accounts and audit to deliver a joined-up service.

Qualifications

• ATT/CTA qualification or working towards CTA.
• Experience managing a personal tax portfolio within a professional practice.
• Strong knowledge of Self Assessment and personal tax compliance.
• Experience advising on EIS, SEIS and VCT reliefs.
• Understanding of UK residence and domicile matters is advantageous.
• Comfortable researching tax legislation and HMRC guidance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Client-focused approach to delivering advice and service.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of private clients with diverse income sources.
• Acting as primary point of contact for clients and building long-term relationships.
• Supporting high-net-worth individuals, partnerships and owner-managed businesses with personal tax affairs.
• Managing Capital Gains Tax matters across the portfolio.
• Delivering private client advisory projects.
• Attending client meetings and contributing to tax planning discussions.
• Preparing fee proposals, raising bills and monitoring WIP and recoverability.
• Collaborating with colleagues across tax, accounts and audit teams.
