Job Description:

Service Care Legal is working with a well-regarded regional law firm in Kent, specializing in private client work, including wills, probate, trusts, estate planning, and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). They are seeking a Private Client Solicitor (minimum 3 years PQE) to join their friendly and growing team, responsible for supervising 3 junior team members, supported by experienced legal assistants.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse private client caseload, including will drafting, trust advice, estate administration applications, Court of Protection work, and LPA drafting.
  • Act as the primary contact with executors, trustees, and clients; ensure case progress with empathy and efficiency.
  • Supervise and mentor three junior team members, supported by legal assistants.
  • Engage in time-recording and billing as part of profitable practice management.
  • Maintain high standards of client care and ethics, aligned with the firm's values of transparency and personal service.

The Person

  • Solicitor-qualified with at least 3 years PQE in private client, wills & probate, trusts, or LPAs.
  • Strong drafting skills for Wills, LPAs, trust deeds, and probate applications.
  • Experience with Court of Protection applications and complex estates is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop junior staff.
