Chadwick Nott is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join its Somerset team. The role covers wills, trusts, probate, tax and estate administration, with a varied caseload and a supportive, client‑focused environment.

You will draft Wills and Powers of Attorney, advise on trusts and estate planning, and progress matters efficiently using the case management system. A background of 3+ years in private client is preferred.

• Strong client care skills and the ability to build long term relationships.
• Compassionate, professional approach with elderly or incapacitated clients.
• Excellent drafting, organisation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney
• Advising on trusts, tax, probate and estate administration
• Handling a broad range of private client matters
• Attending clients at home or agreed locations
• Progressing matters to service level agreements using the case management system
• Delivering a profitable contribution through personal fee earning and meeting time/billing targets
• Providing compassionate, sensitive support to elderly or vulnerable clients
• Collaborating with colleagues across practice areas to deliver holistic advice
• Conducting legal research and keeping up to date with legislative changes
• Maintaining high quality file management and compliance standards
