Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial print estimating role.
• Strong knowledge of lithographic, digital and finishing processes.
• Excellent understanding of print manufacturing costs and production planning.
• Ability to interpret complex customer specifications and convert them into accurate quotations.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proficient with estimating and MIS systems.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely quotations for a wide range of print and communication products.
• Assess customer specifications and determine the most cost-effective production methods.
• Liaise with Sales, Customer Service, Production and Purchasing departments to obtain relevant information and pricing.
• Calculate material, labour, finishing, subcontract and distribution costs.
• Evaluate alternative production routes and recommend efficiencies where appropriate.
• Maintain estimating databases, supplier pricing and costing information.
• Support tender submissions and larger commercial opportunities.
• Provide technical advice on manufacturing capabilities and production processes.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing profitability and operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
