Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join the Oxford team, delivering development-led transport planning across diverse schemes with a strong emphasis on client relations and mentoring.

You will lead transport planning inputs, manage projects from feasibility to delivery, and contribute to bids while supporting business growth in a collaborative, hybrid-working environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in transport planning, ideally within a consultancy.
• Experience delivering development-led transport planning projects.
• Strong technical report-writing, analytical and project management skills.
• Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Confidence managing client relationships and engaging with developers and local authorities.
• Interest in business development and developing client relationships.
• Proactive, commercially aware approach.

The Opportunity

An established, independent transport and infrastructure consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join its growing Oxford team.

With a strong pipeline of work and continued project wins, this is an excellent opportunity to join a respected consultancy delivering transport planning solutions across a varied portfolio of development-led projects, including residential, commercial, education and energy schemes.

You’ll take a leading role in delivering projects, managing client relationships and supporting junior colleagues, with the opportunity to contribute to business development and the continued growth of the Oxford team.

The Role

• Leading transport planning inputs across a range of development projects
• Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
• Undertaking transport modelling, accessibility assessments and active travel strategies
• Managing projects from initial feasibility through to planning and delivery

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in transport planning, ideally within a consultancy environment
• Experience delivering development-led transport planning projects

• Confidence managing client relationships and engaging with developers and local authorities
• An interest in or experience of business development, winning work and developing client relationships

• Progress towards or achievement of a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
