Senior/Principal Town Planner

Location: London

Salary: £40k-£55k (DOE)

My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior/Principal Planner to join their dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading planning projects, managing client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our planning department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage planning projects from inception to completion.
  2. Conduct research, analysis, and prepare planning reports.
  3. Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  4. Provide expert advice on planning policies, regulations, and best practices.
  5. Mentor and support junior staff members.
  6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and environmental consultants.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning or a related role.
  3. Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent professional accreditation.
  4. Strong knowledge of UK planning policies, regulations, and procedures.
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  7. Proficiency in planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
