Senior / Principal Systems Engineer

• Locations: Bristol, London, Manchester, Reading (Hybrid)

Join us as a Senior / Principal Systems Engineering Consultant in Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology (ADS&T).

You will lead teams that use Systems Thinking to analyse, assess, and develop solutions to complex challenges. Emphasizing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), you will help clients unlock innovation. Our projects vary from niche consultancy to large, high-profile programmes, providing continuous challenges.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide consultancy to project and engineering managers.
• Lead the application of best practice techniques and tools on projects.
• Promote MBSE approaches to solving client issues.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet client decision milestones.
• Deliver engineering outputs within time, budget, and quality constraints.
• Identify opportunities proactively and contribute to ADS&T growth.
• Mentor and coach team members to develop skills.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience with MBSE tools like Sparx EA, Cameo.
• Knowledge of modelling languages and frameworks such as UML/SysML, ArchiMate, TOGAF, MODAF.
• Understanding of requirements engineering, verification, and validation.
• Familiarity with engineering lifecycles and their adaptation.
• Experience working on complex systems, including military and civilian platforms, aircraft, ships, vehicles, and energy systems.
• Applying systems engineering processes (e.g., ISO 15288:2023).
• Project and team management within various development methods; knowledge of MOD’s acquisition framework and Defence (KiD).
