What you\'ll be doing
  • Designing structural solutions in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry using current design codes.
  • Managing your own workload, sometimes solo on smaller projects, sometimes leading teams on larger schemes.
  • Liaising with architects, contractors, and clients to make sure what\'s designed actually works in practice.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and helping raise the technical bar across the team.
  • Supporting proposals, tenders, and the commercial side of project delivery.
What you\'ll need
  • Around 5-7+ years\' experience in a structural design consultancy.
  • Strong grasp of British Standards / Eurocodes and hands-on experience with Tekla, CADS, and Tedds (AutoCAD a plus).
  • Chartered or close to it (IStructE or ICE).
  • A proactive mindset, confident collaborating, problem-solving, and getting things done.
  • A valid driving licence for occasional site visits.
