You will join our Structures Healthcare team

As our new Senior/Principal Structural Engineer, you will be part of a talented, fun, and diverse team working on a number of exciting national and international healthcare projects. We actively encourage design flair and innovative solutions. Our multi-disciplinary offices are located throughout the UK.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Develop and agree on structural concepts and design philosophies
• Inspire and enthuse the engineers and technicians on your projects
• Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings
• Take ownership as the day-to-day lead on a project or part of a project

Your key deliverables over the first 12 months will be:

• Grow and maintain a network of contacts and be a great ambassador for Ramboll
• Help us meet our Healthcare Structures’ goals and aspirations, including Projects we are proud of, Sustainability, Digital Design, Team Culture, Learning and Knowledge, and Work Winning.

• Chartered with the IStructE, ICE, or an international equivalent
• An excellent communicator capable of explaining complex engineering principles in plain language, verbally, in writing, and through sketching
• A track record of working on projects with high levels of design, sustainability, or re-use of existing assets
• Experience in the design of primary construction materials (steel, concrete, timber) and a good general knowledge of building construction—experience with MMC would be beneficial
• A passion for sustainable solutions
• A multidisciplinary mindset and an aptitude for learning about the wider aspects of building design
• Must have demonstrable experience with UK healthcare sector projects
• Experience with international healthcare sector projects would be advantageous
