Senior / Principal Stress Engineer - Nuclear, Manchester

This role involves developing engineering solutions for the energy industry, focusing on complex stress analyses and structural integrity assessments. The successful candidate will work within multidisciplinary teams on projects that extend the life of reactors, demonstrate new build station integrity, and support renewable energy initiatives, contributing significantly to the UK's energy security and environmental goals.

Role requirements:

• Degree qualified mechanical engineer (or relevant qualification)
• Experience in complex stress analyses or structural assessments (thermal-mechanical, fracture, fatigue, creep, impact)
• Proven ability to produce detailed technical reports
• Experience engaging with clients and understanding their needs

Preferred experience:

• Experience with safety-critical environments and relevant codes (e.g., ASME III, RCC-M)
• Workflow automation skills, particularly with Python
• Chartered status or nearing professional registration
