Job Description:

Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior or Principal Stress Engineer with a background in finite element analysis to join our nuclear energy team. You will work on complex analysis projects, lead initiatives, and guide junior engineers, contributing to various energy projects including reactor life extension, new build integrity assessments, fusion components, and renewable energy initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop engineering solutions for challenging problems in the energy sector.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring delivery to time, quality, and budget.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a supportive environment.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Experience in stress analyses or structural integrity assessments (thermal-mechanical, fracture, fatigue, creep, impact).
• Proven ability to produce detailed technical reports.
• Excellent client engagement skills and site experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with safety-critical environments and relevant codes (e.g., ASME III, RCC-M).
• Workflow automation experience, preferably with Python.
• Chartered status or working towards professional registration.
