Description
BakerHicks has grown rapidly in the Transmission & Distribution sector over the last ten years and has secured numerous major projects across the UK. As demand for exceptional engineering design increases, we are seeking a Senior/Principal Electrical (P&C) Engineer.
The Senior / Principal P&C Engineer – HV will report to the Discipline Lead – HV and will ensure the quality and consistency of team outputs in producing drawings and technical documents. You will also collaborate with the Power Sector Director during the bid process to secure new work.
About You
You should have experience (depending on seniority) in designing, calculating, and producing reports & drawings for HV projects from 33kV to 400kV, covering protection & control systems. This includes creating single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, P&C schematics, circuit diagrams, protection settings, technical specifications, and other deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in power engineering, good communication skills, and a basic understanding of maths and science. Your responsibilities include managing project deliverables through a thorough checking process, supporting CAD technicians, and supporting the delivery of outputs.
