Job summary

Shape places and influence development with Tetra Tech's Planning team across the UK. As a Senior or Principal Planner, provide expert planning advice to public and private sector clients throughout the development lifecycle, from site appraisals to planning applications and appeals.

You will own a varied workload, manage projects and budgets, develop client relationships, and contribute to multidisciplinary bids and strategic advice across residential, retail, education and energy sectors.

Qualifications

• RTPI-accredited Town Planner with consultancy/local government/housebuilding experience.
• Senior planner or ambitious planner ready to advance.

Responsibilities

Purpose & Scope of the Role

As a Senior or Principal Planner, you'll provide expert planning advice to public and private sector clients across a diverse portfolio, including residential, retail, education and energy. You'll work across the development lifecycle, from site appraisals and feasibility through to planning applications, appeals and strategic advice.

With access to Tetra Tech's multidisciplinary specialists and national network, you'll broaden your technical experience and contribute to projects of varying scale and complexity across the UK.

Your Impact in this position

You'll take ownership of a varied workload, managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality, commercially focused planning advice. You'll build trusted client relationships, develop your own portfolio of work and take responsibility for project delivery, budgets and quality.

Working alongside planners and technical specialists across Tetra Tech, you'll contribute to complex multidisciplinary proposals, share your expertise and strengthen your market profile. With a strong pipeline of work and support from an established organisation, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

You’ll be an RTPI-accredited Town Planner with relevant experience in consultancy, local government, development or housebuilding. We welcome experienced Senior Planners, as well as talented planners ready to take the next step in their career.
