Join us as a Senior / Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer and play a vital role in assessing risks for our nuclear clients, helping them and us realize our low-carbon energy ambitions, shaping a better future for our planet and its people.
On a typical day, you might lead a team producing hazard assessments or authoring complex safety cases to justify and support critical decision-making in the design, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. Alternatively, you might influence the client’s strategic direction to support obtaining a nuclear site license, network to develop the business pipeline, or present technical solutions to regulators.
This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients across defence, nuclear generation, and new build projects, including innovative fusion and SMR markets. You will lead technical project delivery, address complex problems, and communicate solutions effectively to stakeholders. You will be committed to delivering high-quality technical work with attention to detail while maintaining awareness of the bigger picture.
You will also contribute to and learn from the wider technical community within AtkinsRéalis, leveraging our global expertise to foster collaboration. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers to support growth, enhance project delivery capabilities, and develop your leadership skills.
