Job Title: Nuclear Safety Consultant - Multiple Levels

Location: UK-wide - Multiple Sites & Remote/Hybrid Available

Contract Type: Permanent

iO is seeking experienced Nuclear Safety Consultants from Senior to Principal level for projects across civil nuclear, defence, and maritime sectors. Responsibilities include:

• Leading or contributing to safety case development
• Providing expert advice on nuclear safety and infrastructure
• Participating in HAZID/HAZOP studies and risk assessments
• Reviewing technical documentation and supporting design assurance
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
• Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership

Requirements include:

• Experience in nuclear safety case development
• Hazard identification and risk assessment skills (HAZID/HAZOP)
• Experience with submarine, naval systems, or civil industry
• Technical documentation and report writing skills
• Knowledge of UK nuclear and defence regulatory frameworks
