Job Title: Nuclear Safety Consultant - Multiple Levels

Location: UK-wide - Multiple Sites & Remote/Hybrid Available

iO is seeking experienced Nuclear Safety Consultants from Senior to Principal level. This role offers the chance to work on projects spanning civil nuclear, defence, and maritime domains. Expertise in safety case development, submarine systems, or regulatory compliance is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Lead or contribute to the development of safety cases.
• Provide expert advice on nuclear safety, infrastructure, and platform systems.
• Participate in HAZID/HAZOP studies and risk assessments.
• Review technical documentation and support design assurance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership.

Qualifications:

• Experience in nuclear safety case development.
