Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer, Preston

Job Details:

• Position: Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer
• Type: Contract
• Start Date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
• Duration: 12 months rolling contract
• Salary/Pay Rate: £45-£70/hr Umbrella
• Locations: Preston/Warrington/Cumbria
• Hours: 37 hours Mon-Fri

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated industries
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
• Design experience
• 3-5 years (senior) or 6+ years (principal) in mechanical engineering
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• Chartership status

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop AutoCAD designs and direct engineering teams
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Ensure high standards in design deliverables
• Check and produce CDM risk registers
• Check and approve scoping and calculations
• Produce accurate technical documentation
• Deliver work within scope
• Develop estimates and requirements during bidding
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and legislation
• Assess concessions and technical queries
