Job title: Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer

Location: Coventry. This is an onsite position

What you’ll be doing:

• Joining a newly formed Mechanical Engineering team within a new Coventry office to deliver ship services, crew life support, and equipment for Nuclear Submarine systems, supporting the SSN AUKUS project.
• Leading and developing mechanical engineering systems, equipment, and components.
• Building relationships with suppliers to meet challenging specifications.
• Collaborating with customers to develop requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios and design considerations.
• Performing and reviewing engineering calculations to demonstrate system performance.
• Managing stakeholders to solve complex engineering problems and make responsible decisions.

Your skills and experiences:

• Background in Mechanical Engineering, Rotator Machinery, Components, or Fluid Dynamics.
• Experience applying mechanical engineering across product lifecycle stages.
• Ability to prioritize workload and work within cross-functional teams.
• Passion for problem-solving and complex calculations.
• Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Science subjects.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
