Purpose of the Position

To consult with our clients on their Leadership and Professional Development needs and facilitate and design our high impact leadership development programs that support clients to achieve business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will work on project teams to deliver Leadership & Professional Development solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.
  • You will already have worked in the Leadership and Professional Development space and developed an understanding of one or more of the following – instructional design, program facilitation and/or coaching. (For coaches, ICF credential preferred.)
  • Experience in conducting a needs analysis and then assisting with the design of talent management, assessment, and LD solutions to achieve the desired organizational objectives/needs.
  • Knowledgeable about talent management, leadership development, and assessment trends and best practices for designing high impact solutions.

At this level, business development and client relationship management feature as an important focus of the role in addition to delivery. Individuals may major on either delivery or business development, or indeed have more of a mixed portfolio. Regardless of major, individuals will contribute to bids, and manage/lead relationships and/or projects of considerable complexity.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities include client engagement management, leadership development delivery (e.g. program facilitation and/or solution design) and contributing to the L&PD community of practice.

There is travel to client site as & when expected alongside being visible in the London office 2-3 days per week

A typical breakdown of focus areas is provided below:

Client Engagement Management (35%)

  • Develop and/or support engagement structure, plan, resource needs and definition of deliverables and outcomes. Engagements may span multiple service lines and would typically involve managing multiple consultants from other offices/countries. Typical timescales could be 6-12 months
  • Build productive relationships with engagement and client team members setting clear expectations, direction and asking for feedback when appropriate
  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects to ensure accurate scope, margin and profitability of work
  • Partner with internal KF functions to resource delivery talent, manage contract-to-cash activities, track profitability and ensure high quality delivery
  • Apply operational discipline to all aspects of sales and delivery using internal systems and reporting

Leadership Development design and Delivery (50%)

  • Contribute to the scoping and design of large scale, complex leadership development programmes (first line leader to Executive level) acting as a subject matter expert within a Partner lead client engagement team
  • Take ownership for the scoping and design of small to medium size client engagements, directing the work of early career consultants.
  • Design work will include conducting interviews and diagnosis, identifying program objectives, developing learning architecture, and instructional design (workbooks, slides, facilitator guides, ppt’s).
  • Deliver leadership development programs for Korn Ferry clients. This may include facilitation, coaching, and team development work, depending on your area of expertise and career development.
  • Our program designs may include large and small group facilitation, virtual instructor-led sessions, assessment debrief and individual coaching sessions. Seamlessly partner with Korn Ferry co-facilitators and integrate internal client speakers and outside experts.

Business Development (10%)

  • Look for ways to build new client relationships e.g. active networking, asking for referrals, partnering across KF lines of business. Leverage insights to define, recommend and /or co-create strategic solutions for the clients.
  • Contribute to winning profitable business by proposal writing, pricing, shaping opportunities, pitch preparation and opportunity spotting in clients. Assess the needs of large/complex clients, designing and delivering solutions to meet their needs.

Contribute to L&PD Solution Community (5%)

  • Mentor consultants, project managers and operations team. Give and receive feedback – performance improvement and appreciative feedback.
  • Actively contribute to the global, regional, and UK & Ireland L&PD community by sharing best practices and participating in community forums.
The Candidate

Experience and Professional Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience (e.g., in a professional services or consulting firm or within a leadership development function of an organisation)
  • Able to design and deliver leadership development programmes – working on the strategic direction with the client through to execution.
  • Proven track record in managing large complex, global programmes across multiple sectors
  • Has credentials in own ‘major’ discipline area (leadership and professional development) and is able to operate independently to make custom adjustments to relatively standard offerings to meet client needs.
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise of an industry, current and future trends and challenges.
  • Develop expertise (depth and breadth) and consulting skills i.e., client relationships, commercial impact and business insights
  • You must hold the permanent right to work in the UK - either UK citizenship, settled status etc and not be a work permit with an expiry date. We regret that we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time
