Job Description
This position is open for our Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Epsom, Glasgow, London, Oxford, Peterborough and Warrington/Manchester offices but we can be flexible with location.
Do you have the ambition, enthusiasm and technical capability to work with us as a senior or principal hydrogeologist within the water resources sector? We are looking for someone to lead projects in our groundwater resources team within our successful Water Management Consultancy business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate looking to progress their career in a vital industry with an internationally renowned company.
Our highly respected Water Management Consultancy team has been at the forefront of managing the challenges of providing resilient and sustainable water supplies for the future, undertaking projects including groundwater resource evaluation, development and management, and environmental impact investigations. We are expanding our team to deliver a wider range of exciting projects for water companies, major water users, and regulators. You will play a key role in growing our business through winning and delivering work across our extensive client portfolio, enhancing our reputation for technical excellence.
As an experienced hydrogeologist, you will have delivered groundwater projects in the UK and/or internationally. You will work closely with our technical specialists based in Birmingham, Epsom, Oxford, and Peterborough. We have a friendly, approachable team with a reputation for delivering excellence to multiple clients.
At AtkinsRéalis, we are a global leader in design, engineering, and project management consulting, with over 35,000 employees worldwide. We offer more than just a job; we offer an opportunity to make a difference and shape the world for future generations and the environment.
As part of our Environment practice, the Water Management Consultancy operates at the interface between people and the water environment, addressing issues related to water, habitats, and future change. We provide a diverse set of skills across technical areas with a passionate, innovative team. We work collaboratively on projects that bring about real environmental and societal benefits. We are committed to developing our staff through interesting and innovative projects.
Responsibilities:
Joining a well-established team, you will work with technical leads in project acquisition, delivery, and management of groundwater projects, building trusted client relationships. You will lead projects and bids, define and deliver project outputs, and mentor junior staff. Collaboration and supporting team success are vital, and you will work closely with the groundwater resources team.
You will undertake hydrogeological assessments and contribute to broader water management projects related to supply, strategic planning, and environmental assessment.
Requirements:
We are also seeking a groundwater modeller with similar qualifications and experience to lead groundwater modelling projects, supporting strategic management and investment decisions. This role involves developing and using groundwater models, working closely with technical specialists across our UK offices, and contributing to our reputation for technical excellence.
We support flexible working arrangements, promoting diversity and inclusion, and offer competitive salaries, benefits, and development opportunities. The role may require security clearance, and employment offers depend on obtaining the necessary clearance.
We value applications from all backgrounds and are committed to an inclusive community.
