Job description

Senior/Principal Graphics Programmer, United Kingdom

We have an excellent opportunity for a passionate game developer to join our Total War team as a Graphics Programmer. Based at our well-established studio in Sussex, UK, you will be a key member of the code team working on our next unannounced Total War title. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our games by collaborating with the wider development team to push the boundaries of the strategy genre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Researching and implementing new graphics-related technologies.
  • Working on GPU/CPU optimizations and programming game modules including design, implementation, debugging, and documentation.
  • Collaborating with Art and Design teams to solve problems and implement new features.
  • Helping define targets and deliverables with the Lead Programmer and Development Managers.
  • Maintaining high-quality programming standards and development processes.
  • Communicating issues clearly and confidently, and offering solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Fluent in C++
  • Experience with Visual Studio
  • Experience with DirectX 12 or Vulkan
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working on at least two shipped titles
  • Multi-threaded / multi-core development experience
  • Experience with DirectX 11
  • Enthusiasm for RTS games or a thorough appreciation of the Total War franchise
