You will work on high-profile projects across the UK, Ireland, and internationally, delivering innovative geotechnical design solutions while mentoring junior staff and supporting project management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical tasks and manage project teams at a senior level
- Design geotechnical structures including embankments, cuttings, and foundations
- Specify and oversee ground investigations and soil/rock characterisation
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations
- Mentor junior engineers and assist with budget and programme management
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Chartered Engineer status (ICE or equivalent), or close to achieving chartership
- Degree-level qualification in geotechnical engineering (MEng, MSc, or equivalent)
- Proven senior-level experience leading geotechnical projects
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Proficient in geotechnical design software such as Plaxis 2D and Slide 2
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations (2015)
- Experience with UK highways, rail, or water infrastructure projects
- Experience managing budgets and programmes
- Client and contractor liaison experience
- Construction site support or supervision experience
- Familiarity with software like Openground or Leapfrog
- Willingness to travel occasionally
