Join us as a Senior / Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer and play a vital role in assessing risks for our nuclear clients, helping them and us to realize our low-carbon energy ambitions and shape a better future for our planet and its people.

Your purpose:

In this role, you might lead a team to produce a hazards assessment or author a complex safety case, supporting critical decision-making in the design, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. Alternatively, you may influence the client’s strategic direction to support obtaining a nuclear site licence for innovative designs, network to develop the business pipeline, or deliver technical presentations to regulators.

This role offers opportunities to work with diverse clients from defence, nuclear generation, and new build sectors, including fusion and SMR markets. You will lead technical project delivery, address complex problems, and present solutions to stakeholders. You should be committed to delivering excellent technical work with attention to detail while maintaining awareness of the bigger picture.

You will also contribute to and learn from the wider technical community within AtkinsRéalis, leveraging global expertise to foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, supporting our growth and enhancing our project delivery capabilities while developing your leadership skills.
