We are looking for Senior and Principal Structural Engineers for our Cambridge office, to join an established team working with a diverse client group.

Your New Role, What’s Involved?
  • Work with our Civil & Structural Engineering teams in Cambridge and across the UK on challenging projects in education, healthcare, and technology sectors, collaborating with specialist services teams to add value for clients.
  • Receive full support and supervision to develop your potential and achieve Chartered status.
  • Take a lead role in project work, design document production & delivery, and liaising with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborate with clients and project teams to develop design specifications that meet requirements, monitor their preparation, and ensure timely delivery.
  2. Establish project briefs with architects and other professionals at project inception.
  3. Assist in project lifecycle documentation such as QA, CDM, archiving, and mentor junior colleagues.
  4. Support team members and participate in design and staff development reviews.

The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, project leadership potential, and effective communication abilities.

We’d Love to Hear From You If You Have
  • Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE / AIStructE / MICE) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, analytical techniques, design software, and Eurocodes.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience producing clear engineering deliverables.
  • An interest in low carbon design and embodied carbon assessment.
  • Experience in quality assurance of project outputs, including calculations and drawings.
