We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior/Principal Energy Consultant to join our client's forward-thinking team. In this role, you will lead and support the delivery of low carbon, energy-efficient, and sustainable building solutions across a range of residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage energy and sustainability assessments for planning, compliance, and certification (e.g. SAP, SBEM, BREEAM, LEED, WELL).
* Conduct net-zero carbon assessments, energy audits, life-cycle carbon analysis (LCA), and sustainability reporting.
* Support clients through regulatory compliance including Part L, TM54, TM52, and future building standards.
* Engage with clients, design teams, and contractors to influence sustainable outcomes from concept through to handover.
* Mentor junior team members and review work to ensure high-quality deliverables.
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a degree in Environmental Engineering, Building Services, Sustainability, or related discipline.
* Have a minimum 5 years' experience in a sustainability consultancy or building services environment.
* In-depth knowledge of UK regulations, including Part L, the Future Homes Standard, and Net Zero strategies.
* Be an accredited OCDEA
* Be proficient in SAP and SBEM calculations
* Have previously demonstrated the ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships effectively.
