Role
  • Understanding project briefs and designing/specifying all Electrical Building Services systems.
  • Design and specification of electrical systems including power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection, etc.
  • Producing detailed calculations using industry-standard software such as Excel, Dialux, Amtech, and in-house tools, managing others as needed.
  • Representing the organization at meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Conducting site surveys, inspections, and monitoring site works.
  • Writing reports and technical notes.
  • Maintaining complete records and archives according to company standards.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality, environmental, and governance processes.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Degree or equivalent in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IET, or working towards this qualification.
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as CAD, Amtech, Relux, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in a design consultancy or contractor design environment is essential.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant technical standards.
