Job summary

Vital Energi is seeking Senior and Principal Electrical Design Engineers to join our project delivery teams in Glasgow, London or Blackburn. You will develop electrical designs and technical documentation for a range of renewable energy and decarbonisation projects, from concept through to handover, collaborating with clients, internal teams and suppliers.

The role offers exposure to LV/MV distribution, substations and grid connections, with opportunities to advance through Senior, Principal,

Qualifications

Experience delivering electrical designs for renewable energy, power infrastructure and decarbonisation projects.
Experience designing LV and MV distribution systems with cable calculations and equipment sizing.
Knowledge of substations, transformers, switchgear, protection systems and power networks.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation for renewable energy and decarbonisation projects.
Prepare deliverables that meet client requirements, standards and legislation.
Perform electrical system studies and assessments to support safe, efficient project delivery.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and suppliers across the project lifecycle.
Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments and engineering assurance activities.
Support delivery from concept to handover, with progressive ownership of technical deliverables.
Share knowledge and drive continuous improvement across the business.
