We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our ecology team, working closely with our Ecology Lead for the Northern Region. The role suits self-motivated individuals who enjoy site surveys and working in a supportive team. As a Senior or Principal Ecologist, your responsibilities will include conducting site surveys, data processing, reporting, mentoring junior staff, and supporting project lifecycle management. You should have a strong understanding of UK legislation, experience with UKHab surveys, and a proactive approach to professional development.
Qualifications include a minimum of four years UK experience, a driving license (preferred), and CIEEM membership (preferred). Essential skills include strong communication, organization, report writing, project management, and knowledge of relevant legislation. Desirable skills include protected species licenses, GIS experience, and bat sound analysis.
