Are you an experienced Drainage & Flood Risk Engineer with a passion for delivering innovative infrastructure solutions? I'm currently working with a leading consultancy that's looking to grow its dynamic team with the addition of a Senior/Principal Engineer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established firm with a strong reputation for successfully planning and delivering development schemes across the UK. Working across both the public and private sectors, they specialise in infrastructure design and transport planning - and they're known for solving complex challenges through practical, collaborative solutions.

The Role:
Based in Guildford with hybrid working flexibility, this role will see you taking the lead on a variety of development-focused projects. You'll play a key role from concept through to delivery, using your technical expertise to shape high-quality outcomes that have a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and technical delivery of infrastructure schemes
  • Undertake Flood Risk Assessments and produce effective Drainage Strategies
  • Apply software such as AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage for design and analysis
  • Manage projects efficiently, ensuring deadlines and client satisfaction are achieved
  • Work closely with stakeholders including local authorities, developers, and planning teams
  • Present complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences


What They're Looking For:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Strong experience in drainage and flood risk work (FRA, SuDS design, etc.)
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage (or similar)
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset
