Senior / Principal Drainage Engineer - Christchurch
A specialist consultancy is seeking a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer to join their Christchurch office, supporting a growing portfolio of infrastructure projects. This is a strong opportunity to contribute to high-quality, integrated design solutions across drainage, flood risk, and broader infrastructure sectors.
What They Offer:
* Salary £39,000 - £65,000
* Flexible/hybrid working after initial period (min. 3 days in office)

Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field (2:1 or above)
* 5+ years' UK experience in drainage and flood risk for highways/residential projects
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/Flow, Civil 3D
* Strong report writing, client liaison, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Chartered or working toward chartered status
Duties:
* Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
* Design drainage and infrastructure levels using industry standard software
* Manage clients, liaise with third parties, and represent the company at meetings
* Undertake site visits and support environmental reporting
* Help mentor junior staff and contribute to business growth
Location: Christchurch, Dorset (must be able to reliably commute or relocate)
