Senior Principal – Consumer Products, Retail and Logistics, Infosys Consulting (Supply chain, program management, SAP)
Infosys Consulting is currently seeking a Senior Principal with proven consulting experience in the Consumer Products, Retail and Logistics sectors. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years’ experience in these industries with a strong understanding of key business processes, technology and operations, including knowledge of products and intermediary service providers. A key focus area includes experience in supply chain planning, order to cash, procure to pay, integration with other processes, and proven expertise in building business cases and running large programs. Knowledge of key technology applications used across these industries, such as SAP, Oracle, o9, Blue Yonder, etc., is expected.
About the Role
As a Senior Principal, you will participate in the delivery of engagements aimed at designing and executing business strategies for clients, being responsible for quality, budget and staffing, and working closely with senior client stakeholders. You will contribute to the firm’s development by guiding and mentoring teams and sharing knowledge. You will build the necessary skills to become an expert in your domain and contribute to advancing Infosys Consulting’s thought leadership in the industry.
Consulting Delivery
- Participate in the design and delivery of client advisory, solution delivery and organizational transformation engagements in standalone projects or as part of wider client programs
- Advise clients on strategy and detailed use cases by leveraging insights from industry best practices
- Lead and manage a team of consultants to develop concise and practical strategies, roadmaps and/or re-engineering program recommendations with a clear implementation path
- Oversee the formulation of hypothesis / client problem statements, identification, analysis and interrogation of related data, and synthesize key outcomes and recommendations
- Seek client input in a structured manner to understand needs and develop ideas to meet those needs
- Collaborate with clients to define long-term vision, goals and strategies; help identify and design downstream product, operational and technology initiatives
- Direct teams of global consulting, IT professionals and subject matter experts in establishing comprehensive business and functional requirements, then translating those requirements into actionable project initiatives with metrics
- Act as a liaison between the business, product, technology, senior management, vendor teams and other members of the change programs
Practice Development
- Provide insights on new and emerging best practices in consumer products and retail; contribute to the development of service offerings
- Collaborate with practice members to support Infosys Consulting thought leadership and develop innovative assets, including differentiated points of view and methodologies
- Build networks to enable knowledge and information flow and stay abreast of market trends and industry responses
- Contribute to practice growth through roles such as recruitment, training and retention
People Management
- Coach and develop junior team members to deliver quality results and promote professional development
- Participate in and contribute to practice training activities
Business Development
- Develop and build relationships with senior management
- Formulate and present Infosys Consulting propositions and service offerings
- Support sales pursuits for new projects and add-on work
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required
- Minimum 10 years of consulting experience within the Consumer Products, Retail and/or Logistics sectors
- Strong depth of business process knowledge in the supply chain area
- Demonstrated ability in delivering complex change programs in large organizations
- Ability to translate business objectives into operational and technology requirements with the ability to create business cases
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to build client relationships
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%, depending on client requirements

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- Excellent business understanding of retail and consumer product operations
- Experience across both retail and CPG engagements
- Strong knowledge of process optimization, system design and implementation
- Experience with programs where stakeholder engagement is key to success
- Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and challenging constraints
- Ability to collaborate within the firm and leverage existing resources
- Working knowledge of agile methodologies
- Thought leadership; ability to conceptualize and drive new solutions/offerings to market
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross-cultural team, including flexibility to support multiple time zones
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated total annual compensation range: $241,000 to $300,000
