We do this by assuring that energy systems work safely and effectively, using solutions that are increasingly digital. We also help industries and governments to navigate the many complex, interrelated transitions taking place globally and regionally, in the energy industry.

DNV Bergen consists of +100 highly skilled employees, working within Energy Systems, Maritime Digital Solutions and Business Assurance. The section DNV Technology Centre Bergen consists of +20 highly skilled employees working within materials technology and testing, corrosion and coating technology and testing, failure investigations and root cause analysis, and large-scale testing.

The Technology Centres are an important part of the DNV business, where leading experts provide advisory and verification services combined with testing expertise, supporting the industry in solving technical challenges and qualifying new solutions needed for the energy transition. The Technology Centres work closely with all parts of DNV and play an important role in developing recommended practices and standards.

The need for qualified solutions for the new green energy solutions, creates unique opportunities for DNV. Based on our broad experience, our key experts assist our customers in bringing trust to these new solutions, hence enabling them to tackle the global transformation.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and result-oriented Senior/Principal Consultant with expertise within materials technology and engineering to join our team at Technology Centre Bergen.

Working as an integrated part of the Technology Centre Bergen, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with a global customer portfolio, including the leading companies within the energy industry.
  • Support the energy industry, both within the traditional Oil & Gas industry, and the emerging new technologies such as CCS, offshore wind, hydrogen, and batteries. Hereunder, you will help to qualify new technologies needed for the energy transition. You will also be involved in supporting other industries and business areas.
  • Develop good customer relations, gain better understanding of client needs and challenges, and use this to develop ways of solving problems and implementing solutions.
  • Take on key roles in sales and bid management, and project management for exciting projects.
  • Experience highly motivated colleagues and a strong company culture.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of experts widely recognized in DNV and in the industry.
  • Contribute to further developing our state-of-the-art laboratories at Technology Centre Bergen, and collaborate closely with other DNV Technology Centres, such as Oslo, Groningen, Singapore and Columbus (US).

  • proven consultancy experience (minimum 5 years)
  • customer-oriented mindset, excellent communication and networking skills.
  • experience working in the Norwegian and European energy market
  • high level in written and verbal English (Norwegian language is an advantage)
