Overview

Think Recruitment are currently working with a market leading engineering consultancy who, due to continued growth, are looking to recruit an experienced Civil Engineer at either Senior or Principal level. Our client are a forward thinking organisation who have built an amazing team over the past 10 years, delivering a variety of interesting and technically challenging projects for clients across the UK. They are looking for a Civil Engineer to take a lead role in the technical responsibility for civil engineering design delivery and act as Project Manager / Design Manager for the business\'s consultancy services, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead role in the technical responsibility for civil engineering design delivery and act as Project Manager / Design Manager for the consultancy services, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget.
• Assist with development of proposals & bids, and lead on new projects, manage project change control and negotiate variations with clients.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and provide proactive problem solving guidance while consulting with clients, staff, and statutory bodies including Building Control, NHBC, Planning Authorities, Highway Authorities, Environment Agency, Statutory Undertakers, etc.
• Utilise Civils 3D, PDS or Site 3D, Microdrainage or Flow and AutoCAD, maintaining high technical standards aligned with the project design brief.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations and drawings, develop concept designs, and be actively involved with all projects under direction; undertake site visits and inspections and/or site investigation works.

Qualifications

• Proven background in consultancy or a related field.
• Experience with Civil 3D/CAD software and drainage/hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., Civils 3D, PDS/Site 3D, Microdrainage/Flow, AutoCAD).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to manage proposals, bids and client/vendor relationships; ability to lead teams and deliver projects to a high technical standard.
