Job description

Senior / Principal Civil and Structural Design Engineer, Immingham

OLG is currently hiring a Senior / Principal Civil & Structural Design Engineer.

Key Duties:

1. Develop engineering solutions for Civil and Structural Infrastructure projects in sectors such as Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Power.
2. Perform design and analysis calculations in accordance with Eurocodes for superstructure and foundations.
3. Prepare reports, design sketches, and layouts.
4. Conduct structural inspections.
5. Develop Basis of Design and Bills of Materials (BOMs) during FEED stages.
6. Lead constructability reviews, IDCs, and ensure design risk registers and schedules are maintained.
7. Undertake detailed site surveys of existing works.
8. Coordinate with clients, project, and construction managers.
9. Work within a multidisciplinary engineering team to produce integrated solutions.
10. Act as a lead engineer with client interface in single discipline projects.

Skills:

• Proficiency with Navisworks.
• Understanding of CDM regulations.

Other Advantageous Abilities:

• Knowledge of drainage design.
• Familiarity with federated models such as Navisworks.
• Understanding of pricing construction for FEED, using norms and vendors.
• Ability to undertake the Principal Designer role.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• BEng (Hons) in civil or structural engineering (minimum).
• Preferably Chartered with IStructE or ICE, or working towards it.

Pay and Benefits:

• 40 hours per week.
• Hybrid working after 3 months.
• Working hours: 8am – 4.30pm.
• 25+8 bank holidays.
